I love to shop but I think people don't realize that their dollars can make a difference. When I shop, I keep the fashion in mind as well as the power of those dollars. I tend to shop in smaller boutiques primarily because of what that means to the shop owner. I also find that in the smaller settings you get better customer service & you get to know the owners. There are some great benefits to knowing the owners of the shops.
They start to know your style & will alert you of new inventory often when the merchandise hasn't even hit their floors yet. You also find out about the best sales even if they don't have a newsletter.
I like knowing who I am spending my money with & knowing their passion for the business they own. It feels much better knowing you are a part of their dreams. I also get caught up in their excitement of their merchandise. I have gone into many of the places I enjoy shopping wearing something I got from there maybe a year ago & hearing "You got that here! It looks great!" When I showed this video to one of the owners of one of the shops I visit frequently, she was able to point out every single jacket & sweater I bought from her. Try that in the mall. So without further adieu, here are my fun jackets & sweaters. AND if you are in the Tampa area, please stop in and see these ladies, they are all wonderful people.
